An African-American ;sychiatrist practicing in Washington DC. She is noted for her “Cress Theory of Color Confrontation” which explores the practice of white supremacy. She is the author of The Isis Papers: The Keys to the Colors (1991).

Ballwin resident, George “The ShoeMan” Hutchings, founded the ShoeMan Project to provide affordable footwear and clean fresh water to the 1.1 billion people in South America, Haiti and Kenya who lack access to clean drinking water. You may bring or send shoes to donate each Saturday. The ShoeMan Project initiative was spearheaded by Anthony Magwood, 2010 SPS graduate. Donations of all types of shoes are needed.
